The heat is rolling in. After spring's cool air and occasional rains, summer hits Egypt like a wall. No one is prepared for the heat. A few old ones say they have never experienced this, and it is record breaking. No one can remember having it hotter than this.

Bartimaeus Egypt is a role-play site, vaguely centered around Jonathon Stroud's "The Bartimaeus Trilogy". It has a few twists of it's own, such as the desert angel plot, and other things. It has the same basic characteristics, with commoners and magicians. It isn't required to read the books before joining this site.

A long time ago there was a man. This man had no name anyone can recollect but he was a profit and a magician. One night he had a dream. Twins will be born with the power to tear the desert apart at its seams. Since it was midevil times and he was a highly respected man, people believed him. Magicians were banned from having children. All the commoners twins were set on the sand and left to the scorpions. When this profecy did not come true, the people were outraged. They killed the man by cutting his feet and hands off and leaving him to the scorpions. They soon forgot about the profecy and the law. Their lives returned to normal. The man and his profecy were soon forgotten.
Alexis Wentz and Mark Lovett are going to have a baby. Correction. Make that two babies. They are the twins of legend. They just dont know it yet.
Kantai Mugaro was looking through his book of laws. He found one that he was not familiar with. No magicians shall have children. The punishment is death to the child. He frowned. He didnt bring this law up in front of the government until he found out about Alexis's newborn children.
Rosalie Swan does not live in the city. She lived in a small hut on the other side of the Nile. The only way to reach her house was by taking a boat across the river and then taking a ten mile hike to her property. One day she was out in her garden when she heard a cry. Quickly followed by another. The wailings continued until her curiousiy got the better of her and she had to go look. She found two tiny babies on the ground. She took them to her home where she would take care of them.

Kyoko was starting to get scared, if you hadn't of inferred she was scared already. She really didn't want to die, especially not in this way! She refused to give into the magician, but at the same time she refused to die. Finally she hissed, “Alright, you want to know my name and drive me like a slave?”

A smile started to twitch at the corners of Mark's mouth. He quickly supressed it. He didnt say a word however. In response, he lowered the speed of the orb's shrinking.

Kyoko was thankful that the orb's shrinking stopped, but the feeling didn;t last for long. It was destroyed when she saw the look on the magicians face. It made her angry! She said nothing to the man. She just glared at him, trying to think of some other way to get out of this situation.

Mark smiled. "Well Cosidara. Welcome to the world of summoned demons. But as i promised ((and if he didnt oh well he is nowxD)) I wont summon you as i am a man of my word." He stopped shrinking the orb. He looked at his demons "Escort her off the premesis." He made the orb dissapear and his demons jumped onto Cosidara.

Cosidara blinked in surprise (shes still in her human form). She didn't remember him promising that, and it was shocking that he was keeping it if he did promise it already O.o Cosidara didn't resist when the demons attacked her, she just wanted to leave.
