Sometimes commoners have a problem with the magicians' laws. So they come here, the main square, to rebel against their rulers. Often though, they are arrested, or even worse, killed. So only a few dare risk their lives revolting against the government. The main square itself is made of sandstone, worn smooth by ages of walking feet. A street shops surround it and the main street runs through it. It has absolutely no shade besides the canopies of the buildings so it is exhausting to stand there all day.
